About Our CSA

What is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)?

A CSA consists of a community of individuals (members) who pledge support to a farm operation. The farm and the members share in both the benefits and risks of food production. Typically, members pledge in advance to cover a portion of the anticipated costs of the farm operation. In return, they receive a portion of the farm's bounty throughout the growing season, as well as the satisfaction gained from participating in local food production.

NEW FOR 2018! Farm Stand CSA

Oak Nut Farm is once again making a big change for the 2018 CSA Season! This year we are only offering a Farm Stand CSA. This means we will no longer be offering a “boxed” full or half share. Instead, our Farm Stand CSA allows members to purchase “farm stand credit” in advance** that can be used at any of our farm stand locations at any time, on as many or as few items as desired! The “farm stand credit” can be used on EVERYTHING that we sell at our farm stands: vegetables, fruit, herbs, mushrooms, flowers, coffee, eggs, and many new items yet to come. We will be adding and extending all of our farm stand hours and days of operation to better suit the needs of our members. This means: much more flexibility for our members, more savings and choice passed on to our members, less food wasted, and an overall logistically streamlined and efficient CSA.

**To become a member of our EXCITING new Farm Stand CSA and take advantage of a substantial discount while providing us with the necessary funding to jumpstart the season, you must sign-up by April 1st, 2018.** How does the Farm Stand CSA work?
